Can You Pass A Sleep Test?
- Do you snore loudly?
- Do you stop breathing or gasp for breath, while asleep?
- Do you awaken feeling as if you are choking?
- Do you sweat excessively during sleep?
- Do you have morning headaches?
- Do you have a morning dry or sore throat?
- Do you seem to have loss of sex drive?
- Do you have trouble at work or school because of sleepiness?
- Do restless legs keep you awake?
- Do you kick or move your legs while sleeping?
- Do you awaken and have difficulty falling back to sleep?
- Do thoughts race through your mind, preventing you from sleeping?
- Do you feel unable to move when falling asleep?
- Have you fallen asleep while driving?
If you answered yes to any of the questions 1 – 8, you may have Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome (OSAS).
If you answered yes to questions 8 – 10 you may have Periodic Limb Movement Disorder (PLMD) or Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS): These disorders cause difficulty falling or staying asleep due to the leg movements.
If you answered yes to questions 8, 11 – 12 you may have Insomnia. Insomnia may cause difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep.
If you answered yes to questions 8, 13 – 14 you may have Narcolepsy which may cause overwhelming sleep attacks during the day.
